I have already done it with USB and it works. In bi-directional (2-way) communication there is one data line for scanner to host. I am interested in doing serial communication with the RX TX pins, not USB. This is called serial, because opposed to parallel communication where the data is send in parallel over multiple data lines, the data in serial communication goes over one line in one direction, and hence the data bits/bytes are send in series (sequentially).
